Black Love is POWER

A man has only one escape from his old self: to see a different self in the mirror of some woman's eyes. -Clare Boothe Luce

Every black woman wants that "Love & Basketball" or that "Love Jones" type of Love. We want to overcome obstacles in relationships like the movies "The Best Man" or "Why Did I Get Married." But is this Black Love really attainable? I mean, it is only the movies, right? All black man cheat, right? Interracial dating is at a high, right? Black women are just gold diggers, right? Black men in executive positions prefer white women because it is a better look, right? Oh.... my eyes are rolling. My temperature is rising. Oh the LIES!

Yes, this is the point where I lose my mind and go off on a rant. Everyone has their own preference on who they date, but Black Love to me is POWER, is LOVE, is just what will keep our community ALIVE and THRIVING. Black Love should NOT be some mythical fairytale we all aspire to meet, but rather the practical application of love in our lives. Oh the Beauty of Black Love! It gets no better than this.

How do YOU define "Black Love?"
